The Rising Tide Society Leaders Retreat in New Orleans

Last week, myself and over 100 other amazing entrepreneurs and small business owners gathered at the Portchartrain Hotel in New Orleans for the annual Rising Tide Society Leaders Retreat. The retreat was both inspirational and motivating. It was an incredible feeling to be in a room with hundreds of go-getters and talented people. During the retreat down-time, fellow leaders Lauren, Lara and I tried to see as much as New Orleans as we could in just a few hours.

You can't visit NOLA without eating a million beignets and tasting the infamous chicory coffee at Cafe du Monde. Since both Lauren and Lara are photographers, I couldn't resist posing for a few photos in front of some of the traditional New Orleans houses. Some of these houses were getting ready for Mardi Gras which starts this week!

Although we only spent about 48 hours in beautiful New Orleans, we got to see some of the key parts of this city. I'm really looking forward to going back checking out the local wedding venues like, Race & Religious which I have been DYING to visit! What else should we see on our next visit there?

OMG YES!!!! We drove by Race & Religious and I was going to call them to see if I could do a venue tour because it looked SO gorgeous but we ran out of time. So so so good seeing you even though it was just for a brief moment of time! If you ever want to go back let me know and I’m there!!! XO

I know!! I really had it on my mind the whole time but there was no way I was able to squeeze in a site tour unfortunately. I think we will just all have to go back! So good seeing you to. It’s fun to meet our online friends in real life haha

Yes! We absolutely must visit Race & Religious next time. I really think it would be such a cool wedding venue. AND! Don’t couples get a whole band parading down the street with them after they get married in New Orleans?!

It looks like you had so much fun, Gabrielle! Cafe du Monde is my absolute favorite, I wish that I had been able to join you and all of the other Rising Tide Society leaders there!

We’re so sad we missed you! There was an empty spot at my table that said Lindsay and I was hopeful it might be you. Next time for sure!
