About Kennolyn Camp & Events
The venue started as a summer camp back in 1946 but in 1995 they started hosting events and retreats at their Hilltop Hacienda and their Stone Creek Village. This 450-acre property has left a lot of the acreage undeveloped to allow nature to continue to thrive and make it a much more enjoyable place for couples and their guests.
Our couple, Naomi and Austin had their ceremony in the private amphitheater amongst the redwoods followed by their reception at the Stone Creek Village. The other amazing thing about this wedding venue is that your group will be the only ones onsite during your wedding weekend!
Wedding ceremony in the redwoods
This has to be the dreamiest ceremony ever. Picture yourself and all your family and friends gathered together in this gorgeous amphitheater surrounded by tall trees. Especially for our outdoorsy and adventurous couples, this woodland ceremony spot is magical.
Our couple decided on a stunning floral color palette of soft pinks, reds and light greens to complement the natural setting as well as their wedding party outfits. Our florist, Flower and Forage blew us away! Take a look at how stunning the flower arch came out.
Creating Boho Magic: Reception Decor
The retro boho decor for this wedding was everything we could have dreamed of. From custom card boxes to arched wall seating charts and the most stunning twinkle lights. I have a feeling Pinterest is going to LOVE this wedding, don’t you? Couples from around the world will be pinning this to their wedding inspiration boards.
Custom wedding signage
Let’s take a moment to appreciate this custom wedding signage. Seating charts, wedding weekend schedules, welcome signs, bar menus, you name it! Did you notice all the mixed materials that were used for these signs? I personally love the Himalayan salt rock at the bar. So creative! Shout out to Velvet Fox Designs for these incredible details.
Boho retro tablescape
It’s feminine, retro but also boho and we love everything about it! The couple went with smaller centerpieces paired with bud vases so flowers could travel up and down the long reception tables. Paired perfectly with taper candles covered by glass hurricanes, the mood was a 10 out of 10.
We love a messy-chic napkin like the one used here. Especially with the wavy design and 2-tone color palette, it add a simple pop of color to the neutral and soft table.
The sweetheart table was a masterpiece. As your wedding planner, we will always encourage you to repurpose your ceremony flowers at the reception. Whether you want to frame your sweetheart table, add some arrangements to the bar or even place them around the dance floor we’re going to say yes to that!
Dreamy twinkle lights
A lot of couples want to have their wedding “under the stars” however that’s not always possible depending on your venue location and the weather. We love that Naomi and Austin opted for these romantic twinkle lights that draped their entire reception!
Cake, desserts and party pants
No wedding is complete without a little something sweet and a pair of party pants to tear up the dance floor. Again, the florals were out-of-this world and added such amazing color and texture to the simple 2-tiered cake.
