Cute & Colorful Llama First Birthday Party

Posted

While our team here at ‘Cause We Can Events mostly does weddings, we love sprinkling in some fun creative events like one year old birthday parties! If you haven’t yet been to a llama themed birthday party, today is your lucky day!

The party venue

This particular party took place at a home in Los Angeles that we rented off of PeerSpace. Cool, right? I don’t often have the opportunity to look for venues on there but it was the perfect space for a birthday party.

Our clients ‘must-haves’ for the birthday party venue were simple but still required a little research. On their list was:

This house checked off all of our boxes and as a bonus, it had an amazing outdoor bar! This bar officially made it to my own Pinterest ‘dream house’ board. All we had to add was this colorful shimmery paper garland to add a little pop of color.

The party rentals

Now, a one year old llama birthday party should have all the cutest details and this one definitely did! We rented several pieces of bohemian furniture from Provenance Rentals in Los Angeles. From this cute Agua Fresca table to the fun peacock chair, it was really fun for us as event planners to pick out pieces for this party.

Want to recreate the look? We’ve gathered our favorite items for you to shop. Check our out “Bohemian Birthday Party” shopping list!

Birthday Party Games

No party is complete without a few fun games, right? Even though the birthday girl was only turning one, a lot of the guests were kids aged 5-10. We had a giant connect four game, giant Jenga, a balloon show and a couple ball games around the lawn.

For the parents, we had a fully stocked bar and bartender ready to make them an afternoon cocktail to go with their taco feast. I think it’s safe to say that all guests were well taken care of.

Birthday party food ideas

Of course, no party is completely without delicious food, drinks and desserts! The birthday girl’s family brought homemade spring rolls and we had an amazing Taco Cart vendor there. Guests got to eat as much as they wanted!

The desserts were almost like an art installation! We decided to use a great white antique dresser from Provenance Rentals to stage all of the desserts on. The key to creating a great dessert display is to have multiple levels of treats. Place them on cake stands, inside drawers and on lower platters.

How cute are the llama and cactus cookies that Nicole Bakes Cakes made! They were a huge hit and also a great gift for guests to take home after the party.

I think we can all agree that the star of the show is this adorable llama birthday cake!! Nicole Bakes Cakes knocked it out of the park as always and had everyone snapping photos of this cute llama smash cake.

First birthday party favors

The birthday girl received some incredible gifts from friends and family. We also wanted to thank guests for coming to the party by giving them a little party favor as well.

The kids who attended each got a llama party bag filled with goodies like bubbles, slime and treats. Of course, everyone was encouraged to take the cactus and llama cookies home as well!

Vendor team

Shoutout to the amazing vendors who helped bring this llama birthday party vision to life!
